Manage the SKU Catalog

Keep each customer's product catalog, see stock on hand per SKU, and link goods lines to catalog SKUs by typing the SKU code.

12 steps Direct app entry available

Add or edit a SKU

Each SKU belongs to one customer, and its code only has to be unique within that customer. Customers can also manage their own catalog from the portal's SKU Catalog tab, and pick by SKU on the portal's Consolidate tab.

  1. Open Warehouse > SKU Catalog in the side menu (or the SKU Catalog tab on the Inventory Board).
  2. Click New SKU, choose the customer, and enter the SKU code and product name.
  3. Fill in identifiers, attributes, unit of measure, reorder point, cost/price and supplier, and shipping and customs details as needed.
  4. To retire a SKU, edit it and clear Active instead of deleting it.

Bulk add SKUs from a CSV

  1. On the SKU Catalog page, click Import CSV, then Download template.
  2. Fill in one row per SKU; only sku_code, name and a customer are required.
  3. Upload the file. Pick a customer for the whole file if the customer column is blank.
  4. If any row has a problem nothing is imported; fix the listed rows and upload again.

SKU codes that already exist are skipped unless you tick Update existing SKUs; then blank cells keep the current values.

Customers can import their own SKUs the same way from Import CSV on the portal SKU Catalog tab.

Export CSV downloads the filtered catalog in the same columns (plus on hand), so you can edit it and re-import with Update existing SKUs.

Link goods lines to the catalog

  1. When receiving or adding a goods line, type or pick the catalog SKU code in the SKU field.
  2. On save, the line links to the customer's catalog SKU and blank description, dimensions and weight are filled in from the catalog.

Goods lines entered before the catalog existed can be linked in bulk with the link_piece_skus command.

Read stock on hand

On hand counts linked goods lines in active warehouse stays that are not In Bound or Departed. Pickable stock is the part in Received or Available stays with no active holds.

  1. Tick At or below reorder point to list SKUs that need restocking.
  2. Open a SKU to see its stock by facility and storage location.
